Imbolc
Imbolc comes to us from Celtic lands and is the first in three spring holidays. This holiday celebrates the anticipation of spring, where the signs of the time are barely seen and still definitely not heard. But, as we know, Magic is everywhere if you just know where to look. Spring can be seen this time of year in the nodules on a fruit tree branch, that in the warmth of spring will eventually turn to blossoms; in the tips of the crocus or daffodil leaves barely seen above ground; in the chirping of a winter bird heralding the return of the sun.
During this time we also celebrate and honor our beloved goddess Brigit. Goddess Brigit is the overseer of hearth and home, childbirth, metalsmithing and poetry
